Enhance your social studies curriculum and light up your gym by bringing a JET musical theater performance to your school. Spots are limited and fill up fast. Generally JET performs in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area, though we have performed farther afield; inquire for availability. Our next show will be “The Revolutionary Revue.” Performances will run from mid-February to spring break. The cost of a performance is $1,270. Full scholarships are available for Title 1 schools. A school performance of “The Revolutionary Revue” features:
⇒A talk back with cast immediately after performance for classes that can stick around for a few minutes.
⇒One good-natured adult volunteer on stage for a shot at stardom–no preparation needed.
⇒Two students on stage to share Revolutionary Jokes. The jokes don’t have to be memorized, but well-rehearsed at least.
⇒Four students who participate as the contestants in the game show Settlers’ Feud! Two represent Team Mayflower and two represent Team Jamestown. Each kid has about three lines to learn. Student actors get their lines and jokes well in advance to learn. They come to the performing area for a fifteen-minute orientation and run-through while we are setting up. This is a great chance for six kids to experience the flow of professional theater from the stage looking out.
